Nope not at all. When an app is on iTunes you expect it to work. Particularly if you've paid money to use it.
This is my opinion without the rose coloured shareholder glasses on for any app on iTunes.
The fact I heard that it's a soft launch from users of HC just means that I won't complain about losing $1.49 on the subscription.
Providing feedback helps them resolve issues so anyone who does so should help by providing the feedback.
