In this case they would probably sell the pub leases off at bargain basement prices or Hedley and company would just take them which I believe wouldn't be all bad for Hedley.

But this is not over yet. As they say the fat lady hasn't sung yet and Andrew Joliffe is doing all in his power to keep the thing going.

Has to be said - if your new to shares why are you gambling on this stock? It hasn't been INVESTMENT grade for a fair while now.
