I know quite a few ladies and gentlement in their 20's, mainly in the service industries talking about this fictitious "karen", A middle age white female who is an outspoken bully who will complain about service in order to get an upgrade or preferential service. It's a sad endictment on our society that we now getting labelled on accepted practices by certain sterotypes. I asked the young people if there is an equivalent male stereotype and the general answer is men do complain and can get aggressive if a grave error is made but they normally go along with the flow! It's the normally the middle age woman "Karen" who complains to get preferential treatment.
