    Yes mega, I was under the impression that all codes had to conform to the wada code to ensure gov funding. But the afl wasn't willing to change their stance so I am not sure where it all stands now.

    As I've said all along, the NRL lacks a strong players' union. If they had had one, we would've already known what the charges would be and it def wouldn't be a one year suspension. A strong union would stand up for their rights and most likely agree to maybe 3 months suspension. The NRL dish out punishments as they see fit with little to no consultation with the player union . This is very rare for a pro sport and more often than not NRL players have been more harshly treated than any other pro sports with their punishments.
