Size matters so the pundits supporting the purchase of Who Dat have stressed. Size can come from growth, acquisition but also mergers. Beach Oil might at first glance seem a strange partner but combining with Karoon would give both companies a global profile. Santos may still be in play and if it does go to the Middle East there will be a vacuum left for a sizeable oil investment in Aus.
