When you back out the placement fee that brokers receive they can knock stock out at a 2-3% discount to $2.05 and still make money, so their actual cost is probably around $1.98-$1.99 not $2.05.
$27m usd in transaction costs seems like a lot on a $160m AUD insto placement, so the lawyers must also be having a party on this one, did anyone see what % the brokers are getting paid?
