OK - wanted to start a new thread for this.
The TCU court has a much bigger bearing on whether Karoon gets the assets or not. Petrobras will not appeal the decision of the TCU. Question is - are we part of the Famous Five.
My guess is we are -> check page 30 of the latest Q3 report. (released 12 of Nov)
I think there is a high chance we are part of the famous five given in column 2 - there are only 3 deals in the final stage. (4 if you count bauna + tartaruga separately) .
The TCU article says the five deals are worth $3.3b to Petrobras, and given their dire financial issues, they will let the five go ahead.
1. Liquias -> $800m USD *** confirmed
2. Petroquimica -> up to $700m
3. Bauna -> $500m usd
4. Tartaruga -> $1b
5. ?
total = $3b without number 5.. which would need to be around $300-$500m(assuming petroquimica could be lower.. as well as Bauna & Tartaruga).
Question - what is the 5th deal at a cost of somewhere between 300-500m?
Next question - I do agree with stevo on, is that if this higher court approves the sale then the union case will definitely fail in my opinion. So if tomorrow we find out we are one of the five, then this should be a clear buy !
