What's changed since yesterday - the Federal Court (of Appeal) now wants to include Karoon as part of the appeals process - a positive in my view. When Petrobras say the deal has been going down this way, I'm sure it pays to check that Karoon are singing from the same hymn sheet (under oath).
Petrobras have copped flack over their divestment process and with close to $100B of divestments still to go and a compressed timeline to achieve their goals, I'm sure the government themselves don't want any more roadblocks going forward. The TCU are doing Petrobras a favour by helping to iron out their divestment processes going forward before it becomes a greater quagmire for Petrobras and the Brazilian government.
