interesting analysis. I see Kaz/Russia production pointing towards an attempt at market control. Poor countries like NIger, Namibia, Zambia etc., have few alternatives to increase their country's revenue and will push forward their new mines as well. The market knows there is a glut for quite some time to come as even the loss of major production at oly dm is having no effect on the price of U.

However, this does not alter the strategic importance of a deposit like RS. it will be bought out shortly. The only thing we have to fear is Rio pulling a fast one. If they steal ownership of RS through owning too much KAH it would undermine the foreseen buyout. It would be dastardly!

At this point it is generally recognized that there is a profitable U deposit here that will produce 15-30 million lbs a year for almost a century...the only gamechanger will come from the proving of 100's of millions of lbs in the higher grade southern limbs. If they can show that one or two of the southern parts of the deposit hold 300 million lbs or so at 1500ppm that would put the economics of RS into a category of its own. Let's hope we see those drill holes proving this up fast. The longer we have to wait the more time Rio has to strategize taking over RS without any heavy lifting.
