The new CEO and CFO were very experienced guys. Surely the recent diversification foray and its lack of success illustrates that the Board's strategy is not necessarily spot on? That the two new experienced faces had a different view to the Board (though not the Director that resigned), spells some warning signs for my liking.
re Challenger. If it cant keep its head above water while high grading then it muct close, and presumably KCN must tae another write down. I suspect it only remains open to deliver into the hedges that KCN have placed for its production.
Gold price was down 3% at one point last night. A partial offset is that the AUD got smashed 1.8%.
