You pay at market price $1.79 per option, and to convert to ordinary shares you have to pay a further 15c.
So it is actually cheaper right now to buy the options, but some people don't want to muck around, they just buy heads.
When a stock has had a great run like we have, options don't play a big part for the buyer, its more the conversion which then gives the company the conversion cash.
Options are more important in much lower priced stocks, where the leverage can come into play IF the price rises.
It is still relevant here though, if you believe KDR shares will continue their rise.
