    but that does not stop them going at it,
    IMO,,, what you say is spot on mate,
    only a few animals can tolerate being alone, and they are ahppy and live a lot longer when have complany
    of their own,,,
    also its a good idea,if they are getting on,and time comes for that horrid trip to the vet,
    to introduce ( if you are going to continue being a pet mum or dad)
    a new youngen of a similar breed,,so that when ya rouse on the put/kitten,, they get the goss told
    then as the the whys and wherefores by the old animals.

    and thus you have less theathing problems,and fewer sox and pillows dragged outside,
    and less invesigative bin components strewn about, in the long run.
