I bought a knew lounge a couple of months ago. The cat started scratching on that so I stopped her but she kept trying.
I got one of the old lounge chairs she had already scratched up that was sitting in the garage and put that back in the lounge.
After a while and many times I had to stop her from clawing my new lounge and putting her on my old lounge chair she now just scratches the old chair, at least when Im around.
