    I perhaps dont disagree with many points but his way of putting his view across, eg his language and pompous tone is quite offensive - particularly for a National icon. I agree with Tilerman - many go to reflect and mourn on a terrible loss of youth and tip their hat to the courage shown. While Gallipoli was a terrible folly many also by proxy find the yearly memorial a way of honouring all the war dead particularly those who lost their lives in WW2 defending most of the world against the hideous spectre of the Nazis and Imperial Japan. Unless of course someone were to misguidedly sympathise with the latter two vile institutions. Just my thoughts.
