Most people that resort to personal insults as opposed to criticising the actions of others usually do so because they have nothing else to say that is relevant to the discussion/debate.
Given that Paul Keating resorted to personal insult more often than not, it makes you wonder why he could not find it in himself to show humility and debate the point at hand, perhaps his verbosity was only hiding his ignorance.
Paul Keating for all his strengths and foresight was his own worst enemy. Not disciplined enough to curb his language and not smart enough to stay in power.
Makes your wonder why anyone would like a bully, then again they say people are attracted to types like themselves.
