A leader jobs is to lead not bring ones self down to the opinions to the common folk. Keating didn't care about what the average Wayne or Kevin (great Australian names lol) thought of him, he had the tough calls and was willing to stand by them. Howard was very much the same.

I don't see the same attitude with Rudd. He's like the boss or manager that wants to keep everyone happy. that wants to be a part of the team. It never works and people ultimately lose respect.

It's time to get serious IMO. No more fuel watch. No more grocery watch. No more we'll keep an eagle eye on the banks. Its time to harden the .... up.
