Looking after security in Australia has been achieved by the anti terror laws and now the anti fighter laws, the anti Bikie laws.
There is no reason we should be at war in a country that isn't even in our own hemisphere. It has nothing to do with us and all the US/UK wars in that region have caused most of the instability in the region.

Tens of billions of dollars this new war will cost, and where is the exit strategy?? When will they bring them home again.
China is our biggest trading partner not the ME and not the US or the UK. You piss China off enough and they will get their IO and coal from somewhere else. Its not as if there aren't other big IO and coal mines around.
You say the government would make fiscal mistakes that would help communist China, my god since when have they ripped us off?? Do you think this government is so incompetent they cant do a business deal. It seems all our miners can do it without getting ripped off.
