If the Chinese military have bases around the world (like the US), yes, I would be worry.

But they don't. China has two military bases outside China - one in Djibouti and another in Cambodia.

And we have two military bases in Malaysia - for the purpose of listening and watching. That is, we have as many military bases overseas as China.

The US by contrast has over 800 military bases around the world. And in Australia, they have 5 military installations.

Furthermore, US corporations are majority owner to most of our public companies in Australia.

    https://www.unsw.edu.au/newsroom/news/2019/09/worried-about-agents-of-foreign-influence--just-look-at-who-owns#:~:text=The%20Commonwealth%20Bank%20of%20Australia,as%20'The%20Big%20Australian'.

That is correct, circa 60% of our major public companies are owned by US.

If it was the Chinese, you guys would match down Canberra to burn it down. But NOT a word of protest to being owned by the US. You have to ask, why are we doing EVERYTHING the US demand from us???

Seriously, who is occupying whom??? That picture you posted should have been the US flag.

The truth is, we are a vassal state of the US. We get sent to fight in wars against people and countries who have NEVER done any harm against us. We kill and die at the behest of the US.

Keating is 100% correct. The Chinese don't have any military bases near us (unlike the US), so if they wanted to take over our country, they would need to send at least 1M men, sail in the ocean for circa a month, to reach our shores.

Logistically, it would be next to impossible to transport 1M men on ships without being seen or heard. It would stick out like a sore thumb. Then you have the issue of trying to feed a 1M men at sea, for circa a month. Virtually impossible.

And long before any Chinese ship reach our shores, our satellites and spy stations in Malaysia, would have picked it up. A few missiles hitting those ships would mean the end of 1M men.

That is why its impractical and extremely risky. No country would take that kind of risks, unless they have bases around the world, like the US.

Its also why we ONLY have circa 60,000 military personnel. We feel so safe and isolated far down in the South; and that is our advantage.

In any case, if they started building military bases around the world, like the US have done, we can start to worry.

Until then, its a lot of scaremongering, with the intent to fill the pockets of the MIC.
