Poor old Paul is wasting his time on a lost cause. Australia is way too small and too vulnerable to suddenly betray our firm and long standing commitment to being strategically allied to the US. To use his language, the US would rag-doll us if we tried.
P.S. Both the US and China will do everything to avoid a war with each other, because it would be catastrophic to both.
