you may well be correct --

it can be seen in history where someone was valued to a degree in history, then, sometimes even looked down upon because of their ideas -

and then, 100 years later - the society wake up to the fact that the person was way way way ahead of their time

anyone who is way ahead of their time - is very often seen as a nutter or have the wrong ideas etc

tis a very common occurrence in history
