Everyone was excited about Tmall 11/11 event last November and A2M did very well on the day, which is later on reflected in HY report and sp was sent to double digits.
However, it is not known to everyone that Alibaba, the host of 11/11 is NOT the biggest player in the online baby forluma section, but JD.com is.
Below chart illustrates online IF sales market share in 2017, courtesy of Syntun, who used to publish monthly online IF sales data and do less often now. It shows JD.com accounts for 54.5% of online IF sales, while Tmall takes 39.6%.
We are only one month away from 618 shopping festival hosted by JD.com, which is second largest online shopping event in China. Close to US $9B money was spent on the day last year, compared to $26B as for 11/11. I wouldn't be surprised at all if A2MC eventually manage to beat $920M upper bound forecast after successfully participation of this event. Hold tight and finger crossed. June is critical.
