Checkout what RMS have been doing with their ore from the Vivien mine too:

They currently haul it more than 287km to Mt Magnet for milling, and could shave off significant cost by treating it at Sandstone.
IMO Rick Yeates could be planning to turn MDI into a central processing hub for VMC, AME, RMS and their own ore.
