Major Gold Coast Alliance delivers
access to 3500 apartments for W Home
Queensland expansion through the Emblem real estate group
Sydney, February 12, 2004: W Home, a subsidiary of SkyNetGlobal (ASX: SKG), a leading
innovator of broadband solutions, today announced a major strategic alliance with a prominent
Queensland real estate group that will provide SkyNetGlobal’s W Home division with access to
3500 apartments on the Gold Coast plus properties in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
W Home’s alliance is with Emblem Realty and its associated company, Independent Property
Partners, both of which are businesses owned and managed by long time Gold Coast real estate
agent and industry identity Mr. Dave Emblem and his family.
The Emblem group also has an exclusive contract to provide long-term rental accommodation for
Bond University staff and students. The Emblem group will represent and market W Home in the
Queensland market, and specifically the Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
SkyNetGlobal CEO, Jonathan Soon said: “Mr. Emblem’s businesses have a substantial presence
in the unit market on the Gold Coast, including many of the high rise buildings, multi unit buildings
and community title complexes providing a range of sales and marketing services.

broadband service through an existing network that includes 63 ‘tier one’ buildings comprising
3480 units.”
“It is planned to market W Home to unit managers with the expectation, based on initial research,
of selling between 15 to 30 annual W Home broadband subscriptions per building to meet the
demand by short stay visitors in holiday rental accommodation.”
“Mr. Emblem will also explore opportunities for private WiFi hot spots for common areas such as
pools and other recreation areas”, Mr. soon said.
Mr Emblem said, “We are extremely excited at having the opportunity to fulfill a huge need
amongst the many apartment buildings, particularly in the tourist areas of Gold Coast. There are a
great many existing apartment buildings unable to access broadband. Now, with W Home,
holidaymakers and permanent occupants will have access to high speed wireless broadband.”
