@Joannie - I can fall in love with a man just for his voice! This particular guy is likeable, that's all, but when he began to explain at a small gathering about an Irish poet and how he wrote this love poem for an unachievable much younger woman - and then sang it, I was lost - still recovering. There was a party of 8 - and all was still, just listening to his untrained but perfectly timed singing. Amazing talent! Since then, he has sent me a number of Irish songs, which are lesser-known mini-works of art. I'll see if I can post one here - Yours are the well-known ones - there is a huge body of song and poetry from Ireland, which I never knew about. What a wonderfully humorous and also heroic people! Even the Aussie accent can in part be traced to the Irish.
