Laurel Formation is a thick, package of sands, shales and limestones with in excess of 1,300 meters. It is a basin centered accumulation but it is being a combination of structural & stratigraphic trap against the flank of the Superbasin at the Valhalla area which is at the the edge of the basin in my opinion. See Buru's graphic below. it shows the Valhalla wells at th edge of the basin. (you can see it on my Basement map on the other thread that Valhalla wells are drilled at the edges of basin, That was necessary for finding the conventional traps). The centre of the basin goes towards to Paradise well and REY's tenements as I said before. And the main part of Laurel formation is there.
There are different plays in this 1300m thick formation if it this is the thickness of the Laurel formation at Valhalla.
See Buru's graphic below again. You will see conventional trap, unconventional tight gas zone (brown area) and the shale zone (green area) are shown.
The flow rate will not be the same for the play types IMO. Therefore the we can't mention about a flow rate of 10 mmft per day.
Tight gas accumualtions are being evolved towards the edges of the basin. You can see that on the second graphic. Main shales are at the centre.
And yes, tight gas in the likely to be a "little bit more" productive than shale gas plays, but not much. That is shown on the third graphic.
