In fact it's quite the opposite: most companies release announcements straight after new shares are issued.
What I think you might be referring to is Directors buying shares on-market:
if they buy on-market then there can't be any significant news (ie. results) for a period after that (not sure how long from top of my head) - it's a bit like insider trading if they could do it and hence why they can't.
I think that's what you might be confusing it with.
Re; results, not sure when they'll come but they've been drilling for a while so shouldn't be too far, but then again, most on here are here for the longer term and don't really care, especially as they're at the start of 6 drilling campaign in a row (on first of six currently).
