Agree about information being public after trial. I do not see a problem there.
Obviously it has been proven in this case that accepting money to influence your decision, if you are a politician, is a crime.
I am not sure though that in general giving money to someone is a crime and I do not believe Talbot has been charged with anything. Saying that I do not know this for sure.
Laws are very specific and if Nuttall was not a politician, just a individual like Talbot, acting as a company director/executive or not, would any crime have been committed. I do not believe so.
As I said I am not sure, I am only a want a be lawyer, not even a justice of the peace :-) so what I say should not be taken as having any ground.
All this though is really irrelevant to the business activities of SDL and I am sure this topic has been started and bled to death to downramp.
