    Here you go

Australian Greens Leader Bob Brown will move a motion in the Senate tomorrow calling on the Treasurer to reject Chinalco's proposed deal with Rio Tinto.

"According to Chinalco, the Chinese Government can appoint and remove the president and members of its executive committee," Senator Brown said.

"It is hazardous for the Treasurer to entertain the proposed deal between Rio Tinto and Chinalco when the Communist dictatorship will be pulling the strings behind the scenes," Senator Brown said.

The motion will be voted on tomorrow.

The motion reads that the Senate:

    a) notes that, according to Chinalco, the Chinese Government has "potential control over Chinalco through the power of appointment and removal of the president and members of the executive committee of Chinalco exercisable by the State Council and the State Assets Supervision and Administration Committee (SASAC); and

    b) Calls on the Treasurer not to approve Chinalco's proposed deal with the Rio Tinto Group unless he can be assured that a foreign government does not have the capacity to appoint or remove any of Chinalco's staff.
