the future fund has already been raided - it was never for "US", it was always meant to provide a retirement for the overflowing numbers of public servants suckling the govt teat.
but, hey. give it a name like "future fund" and the dopes will think its great for australia's future.
sentiment: public service way too top heavy, and would like to see some sort of effort to "cut the fat" so to speak.
