    KRUDD used the comparison in defense of the current proposal.

    As you say, chalk and cheese.

    Look closely at KRUDD. Under enormous pressure from party and Australians. He was close to cracking. Off air I am sure he would have typically become abusive.

    Swan and Gillard are propping up KRUDD now. Not good.

    If KRUDD stalls the next election is gone. He might as his vanity is now an issue.

    The mining tax is far too simplistic, a non thinking way to bring the budget back to profit. It cannot work. Self destructing.

    A better Government in the current situation should accept that the budget will be in deficit in the short term, accept that, and put in place a better, more acceptable solution of taxes. Australians are not fools, they will see this tax grab as opportunistic, highly risky and naive.

    Australia can do better than this.
