as far I can see, the AFR story just said the Chinese mob were in the late stages of DD. FLX's release is the standard one - we are stiill talking to other parties, but these discussions are still incomplete etc.
Its frustrating as hell, but hopefully it should be sorted out by Xmas (subject formal govt approvals etc). If the Chinese are serious, one would hope that they are getting their approvals process in place too.
