    from piers akermans blog, it seems that 32 labor pollies have asked rudd to campaign with them in their electorates. given that only lower house mp's have electorates, then rudd is bing asked by about half the labor lower house members to give them a helping hand...rudd is obviously gaining support.


    it does not make any sense to stick with gillard, it does not make any sense to go back to rudd, and it does not make any sense to change leaders. however as a circuit breaker, changing leaders may well be the least disastrous option - but not a change from gillard to rudd - but a new face... yeah, smith might be an option.

    one wonders what advice mcternan has for gillard this morning. given the media speculation, she has to say something
