    Frantic "why is labor responsible"

Since coming to power they have done nothing but talk the economy down. Although inflation is on the high side, amidst a commodity boom, it is not what I would consider a crisis as Swan (the ugly duckling) has stated.

Their pre election spin was to put themselves up there as messiahs and that all problems no matter how big or small would be fixed by voting labor.

They seem to have no plan for the future other than mirror politics (we will look into it). Their education revolution is a financial mess, their petrol & grocery watch policies need not comment.

Their budget was ill conceived as to the flow on affects from their ideas. Medicare levy vs private health for example. Their removal of excise exemptions from alcohol and alcopop tax was nothing more than a money grab and nothing to do with good economic management.

If the government of the day is talking down the economy, what confidence do you expect the general public to generate. The economy is all about confidence and peoples future expectations. Labor have set about discrediting the previous government by focusing on all the negatives and doing nothing to reassure the punters that all is ok.

I remember Costello regularly on his soap box crwoing saying the economy is strong and no need to panic. This is what people want and need to hear otherwise confidence erodes very quickly.

So what has labor done? Little fundamentally other than do nothing and say nothing but thus far they have been reckless and incompetant in regards being leaders and generating confidence in those that voted for them.
