I don't have a problem with big picture ideas being implemented,...

    I don't have a problem with big picture ideas being implemented, but they need to be well thought out and cost/benefit analysis and a business case presented....this is a $43bn project and it's going to take a lot of resources that could have been allocated elsewhere....is this sensible when a much cheaper solution could deliver say 80% of the benefit?

    where is the vision with regard to less glamorous infrastructure e.g. energy security and water security

    not much use being able to download a movie in 4 minutes if there's a blackout, is there?
