    and I don't have problem with fibre infrastructure, the establishment of more nodes, and fibre being made to industrial and business areas, and to critical infrastructure such as hospitals.

    However what I hear on this thread is that I must agree with fibre to every home or
    1. I start my sentences with "well" or
    2. I am not a visionary.

    I have already made it clear that it is hard to see any justification for cable to the home. The strongest argument seems to be breaking the Telstra Monopoly.

    I've already made it clear that I have been able to operate on less than ADSL2+ speeds supporting technology projects, so why specifically does every home need fibre?

    Let's get this into perspective. 43B is a LOT. The Parramatta to Epping rail link can be delivered for 2 to 3B.
    10 such projects would also do a lot for this country. So why fibre to every home instead?
