Good post, Orbiter...TU. I think you have summed it up pretty well.
I have always thought Gillard is very likely to quit if she is dumped as leader and take labor down with her. This could be the reason she hasn't been replaced yet.
And yet, with Gillard remaining as leader, Labor are more likely to keep digging a deeper hole for themselves.
