Apart from making a complete and utter stuff-up with the home insulation which cost millions, but much worse, young lives, I feel much better under this govt than the last.
I have no concept of greed; if your pile is more than adequate it doesn't have to grow to ceiling height. I don't need a gold coffin.
I want a govt that is Australian; not an American sub-lieutenant of the southern Pacific.
I want to be governed by a firm, steady and compassionate oligarchy not by the media-directed, self-interested, whims of CEO's of the corporate world.
I want a govt that addresses the important stuff like health and education and cares for those who haven't experienced the advantage and fortune of the vast majority of those that post in here (myself included).
I want a govt that is human not robotic.
Life is now a blend of socialism/capitalism/communism; the boundaries are blurring. What is important is the sense of informed humanity we embrace now to define the global civilisation we become in the future. There was no future under Howard. Under Bush nuclear aresenels would have increased rather than being decimated as they are now. This is of far greater significance than super-rich miners (the majority of whose profits go overseas anyway) being taxed at a slightly higher rate and having a short-term effect on the price of their shares.
