Rudd spent about $9b ($900 to each and all, yes to a few dead people ... omg) but stopped a recession. We had 1 quarter negative and the govt spent the $$, the next quarter 0.1% growth, no recession, for $9b
The Liberals cried and wailed .....
So during covid, Scomo increases the cash supply by 22% (thank god for cheap ink).
Spends about 50 times Rudd, gives Gerry Harvey (who I like) a few hundred mil under jobkepper... !!!
This will lead to inflation, but no one compares the two acts, one IMO was brilliant (I have no policitcal favouratism, they are generally both useless) the other was just much money wasted which will lead to greater hurt over the next few years.
