Kevin Rudd receives a top Queens Birthday Honour, page-2

This is not sour grapes or partisan politics, but I don't agree with Rudd getting this award.

I don't agree with any politicians getting these awards.

They already get plenty of money, perks and recognition for their service to the parliament and a retirement pension we plebs could only dream about.

Plus all the kickbacks, job offers and paybacks that seem to fall their way after they leave office.

So stuff them all they deserve nothing as far as I'm concerned.

There are plenty of volunteers and outstanding people in Australia who deserve the recognition instead.
