Well not so fast.
Lets look at this from the rest of the worlds prospective. Our solution may be someone else's problem. Investors will be pulling their money out of banks overseas and putting it into banks in Australia for the guarantee. That will cause a problem with other country's economies. Thats not a good outcome for a co operative solution to the current crisis.
