Whilst Deutche Telekom is making a bid for Sprint in the U.s

..and whilst France Telecom is making a major bid for Egypts major Telco.

Whilst both these major Telcos have risen some 30-40% from its lows and allowing to compete globally. We have a ovt that doesn't allow it to complete internally.

We have an inept govt, that believes a break up of Telstra will provide better products, prices and competition over a dead-end copper network?

I'd like to see the prices passed on to the consumer will be better than they currently are when the split takes place. Who will buy the copper network is another interesting point.

It's such a farcical situation.
