    What a breath of fresh air it was to listen to Tony Jones's interview on Lateline with Kevin Rudd last night.

    On Abbott and misogyny at the 13 minute mark of that interview Rudd commented to the effect that;

    "Tony Abbott's attitudes to women belong in the Nineteenth Century." [Rudd stopped short of using labels such as a sexist or a misogynist].

    On the matter of the personal invective invading politics and including the personal criticisms made of him as PM, at about the 18 minute mark Rudd made comments to the effect;

    "We have a duty to Australians to rise above that. Tony Abbott's relentlessly destructive approach has got us to the point where Australians are even being denied the chance to choose between alternative visions and policies for our future. If Abbott becomes PM it may degenerate further to cause people to lose faith in our democracy"

    As I've said on many previous occasions; Tony Abbott has no vision for our future and no strategic plan to deliver it. Abbott is little more than a political attack dog who likes the smell of blood on the canvass [as long as its not his own].

    Abbott deserved the wake up smack in the mouth that Julia Gillard's retort inflicted on him last week and which indeed left some of Abbott's blood on Canberra's canvass. And last night on Lateline Kevin Rudd just smacked Abbott right across those smirking chops all over again.
