Key Distribution Agreement with one of Australia’s
Largest Mobile Phone Retailers
The Directors of Fusia Limited are pleased to announce that its wholly owned trading
subsidiary MobiData Group Pty Limited (‘MobiData’) has signed a distribution
agreement with Allphones Retail Pty Ltd (‘Allphones’) and will be available ‘live’ for
customer subscriptions from the 1st December 2005.
Allphones is one of Australia’s largest retailers of mobile phones and mobile products.
Established for over 16 years Allphones has over 140 stores nationwide, and sells in
excess of 500,000 mobile phones per annum.
Allphones will initially launch with two of MobiData’s suite of products, MobiPod and
MobiChat:
MobiPod is a disaster recovery and contact management solution for mobile phones.
Contacts are automatically backed up or “synced” on MobiData’s secure server over
the mobile phone network every 24 hours. These contacts can be edited via
MobiData’s customer website and/or automatically uploaded onto a new handset via
the mobile phone network should the existing handset be lost, damaged or upgraded.
MobiChat makes PC instant messaging mobile providing the same experience as
instant messaging on the PC, only mobile! MobiChat works from mobile to mobile and
mobile to PC. The customer uses exactly the same MSN or Yahoo account name and
password to log in and has just the same buddy list as if he or she was logging in on
a PC. It’s a lot more fun and cheaper than SMS.
Allphones has undertaken an extensive sales and marketing campaign to hit the
market at the beginning of December and take advantage of the Christmas sales
period.
Each month Allphones produce a catalogue with the current plans and handsets
available on all carrier networks. Over 200,000 of these catalogues are printed each
month and distributed to the Allphones store chain nationwide. MobiData will have a
full page advertisement in the December and January editions of the catalogue
offering both the MobiPod and MobiChat products. As part of Allphones initial
marketing campaign 400,000 promotional one month free trial cards will be
distributed to Allphones stores across the Country.
Subscribers will be offered a 1 month trial of either product and at the end of the trial
will be able to pay for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription for $19.95, $34.95 and $54.95
respectively. This pricing strategy offers greater value for subscribers who select
longer subscription periods. In addition we are offering the benefit of a free trial so
consumers are able to easily experience the applications first hand.
