I doubt that they two companies would ever merge, I certainly hope not. Id prefer KEY to go it alone and as EGO says, they are concentrating on the Perth Basin and their currnet assets, they dont have the time for the Canning.

Chef747, I hope you do well out of EGO, But Im comfortable with my money in KEY at this very early stage of the Canning story. Below are a few figures highlighting just how cheap KEY is compared to the other Canning players. And before the nah sayers jump down my throat, I know Buru and NSE are further along the exploration stages.

    BRU @ $3.20 per share

    Shares 251,007,144
    Options 13,851,000
    Total 264,858,144
    MC
    $847,546,061
    $52M Cash

    EV $795,546,061
    9M acres
    $88.38/acre

    NSE@ 53.5 cents per share

    Shares 305,022,751
    Options 12,200,000
    Total 317,222,751
    MC
    $169,714,172
    $25.4M Cash
    $48M Investments

    EV 96,314,172
    2.75M acres
    $35.02/acre

KEY @ 3.9 cents per share

    Shares 308,072,707
    MC
    $12,014,836
    $1.44M Cash

    EV 10,574,836
    3,227,690
    $3.28/acre

These figures are based on current quarterlies and latest captal raisings and expenditure.

Lets see if KEY is still valued at 3.20ish an acre once the July drilling begins and Buru start Cyrene1. These figures are supplied by someone much more knowledgable than I. DYOR
