On fundamentals CKF is now below fair value. Of course, that doesn't help, or mean a fig, if market emotion is against it but, for what its worth, Stocks In Value put a fair value price of $5.23 rising to $5.66 future value (1 year out, all else being equal).
I cant be sure whether SIV (Clime's value modeler) has updated their value forecast in the light of the impending failed CR. They still have the stock in their model portfolio.
The impending failed CR is neither here nor there. CKF raised the necessary funds for the European acquisitions from institutional investors (some cash would come from existing retained profits and/or drawdown facilities to keep a healthy debt ratio). The SPP is simply a nod to existing shareholders who might have been jacked off they weren't given a guernsey. The SPP was capped at $10M, showing they didn't actually need the money.
In any case, current prices provide an excellent entry if you're a contrarian. The only real decision is deciding when this knife has stopped falling.
