I'm an advocate for buying a stock for the journey, depending on what your definition of the journey is. Sometimes you just need to look at a company and imagine where you think its going to be in 5-10 years. I made a lot of money buying very early into XRO and A2M based on mostly gut feel. It would have been nearly impossible to be an early investor in the FAANG stocks unless you took a chance. When is becomes a problem is when you are buying a stock based on its share price rise or its hype. Luckily for this company its actually also making a lot of money while its growing at an exponential rate. Its a rare gem.
