The auction being pushed out to the second half of the year makes the timing more appropriate for SFR imo. If they acquired it now, they'd be biting off more than they can chew imo. However, if they can commission Motheo and have that generating income (and paying down debt), then it feels like a more defensible to be leveraging the balance sheet again for an acquisition.
The key question is what are they finding during exploration in Botswana currently - i.e. how confident are they on bringing further mines into development from their exploration efforts to date? It's still very early days on their extremely large tenement package.
