Simon has given us a little more detail than the earlier WPL release. "the well took a kick" is not explained, except that many of us would infer that the pressure log kicked to reflect in increase of pressure in the drilling mud at 3,741 m. Simon is not sure whether the influx comprised water or hydrocarbons, but we are left to hope that is was the latter.
