Ferro it's all about risk reduction. Lock in the profits for 180,000 ozs which creates certainty re future cash flow and underwrites the company's growth path.
If we knew for certain that POG would stay where it is or that its going higher then, yes, you would not hedge BUT the future is uncertain and the market does not like uncertainty.
In my view the market will reward certainty with a handsome premium. Seems a no brainer to me.
