FWIW - I'm with Rabbitoh.
I used to be very heavily involved in the meat industry in the 80's and early 90's, in a bureaucratic and oversight sense.
What Rabbitoh has said is very true, for mine.
Mostly the stunning and then slaughter of stock, of any stock, is done as humanely as possible in Australia.
It is understandable, but unfortunate, that some might see the age of the animal in question as an issue.
Does age somehow lessen or increase the impact of one's death?
I would think it does not, but applies only to those who think age conjures special privilege or rights.
But death is death and so for mine it doesn't.
I'm not young.
but for mine death is okay - if it comes with little pain.
fwiw, I am a registered organ donor.
Said enough now, but have a strange empathy with Rabbitoh.
